Katie Brown

I am always enthusiastic when making a new series of work, as it pushes me to develop my ideas and technical skills. The nature of making with molten glass has enabled me to capture fluid moments of patterns and lines within my forms. We often see pattern as repeated images and layers so condensed that the eye cannot focus on any one image. With my work I have chosen to use a collection of forms and a minimal colour palette to emphasise chosen points of line, pattern and motion.
This is my 14th year as a glass artist and I continue to enjoy a deep sense of satisfaction from working with this amazing medium.
