Cath has a glass studio in Wanganui. Inspired by a summer school in glass casting, Cath decided to leave behind her I.T. job in Wellington to immerse herself in glass, and to study glass design and production at UCOL Whanganui.
I work with form, line, movement, and the selective use of colour to create sculptural works predominately using kiln formed processes. I am increasingly drawn to the use of recycled television screen glass, both for its inherent beauty and for the satisfaction of taking a discarded resource and turning waste into art.
